Abstract | ||
This study investigated the relationship among individual variables with computer anxiety among sample of undergradute students at Tehran University. A total of 730 undergraduat including 295 females and 435 males in three majors technical-engineering, basic sciences, and humanities were administered measures of computer anxiety rating scale, trait anxiety, achievement motivation questionnaire, computer experience, and computer self- efficacy. Results indicated that signigicant negative relation between computer self-efficacy, computer experience, achievement motivation with computer anxiety, and positive relation between trait anxiety with computer anxiety. Findings revealed no signigicant difference in computer anxiety, achievement motivation, and trait anxiety between males and females. Students who majored in humanities exhibited higher computer anxiety and trait anxiety scroes as compared to students majoring in technical-engineering and basic sciences. This study indicated signigicance difference in computer self- efficacy and experience between males and females, in other words male students exhibited higher scores as compared to females. Suggestions are made for confirming these findings through further investigation. | ||
