| Abstract | ||
| The effect of certain isolates of antagonist fungi was evaluated on damping-off and seed rot inicidence of bean incited by Rhizoctonia solani . in greenhouse , addition of 107 spores of Gliocladium virens (GV)., Trichoderma harzianum (Th) and T.viride (Tv.) to each gram of the soil infested by R.solani were compared in completely randomized design on disease incidence in bean with the fungicides seed dressing (0.2% a.i) with benomyl, thiabendazole and carboxin were more effective than the other treatments. Addition of spores of antegonist fungi to the infested soil with R.solani one month before the sowing seeds , resulted in disease reduction at 39 and 42% for Tv.and Th. respectively , Seedling mortality in artificially infested soil (Control) was 84%. Adding of the inoculum Of antagonists (100 g.of wheat bran to 1 meter of field row) to the infecsted soil with R.solani (37.5 g/m)reduced disease to 53,50 and 25% respectively by Tv. Th. and Gv. | ||
