| Sedimentological and petrophysical studies on the core samples of the upper Asmari and Ghar Formations in the Abuzar Field indicated the presence of three zones. Zone 1 is predominantly limestone and dolomite with high porosity and permeability. Zone 2 composing from anhydrite and shale acts as seal. Zone3 in chiefly cemented sandstone. In some part of this zone intergranular porosity is dominant. The reservoir quality of this zone is considered moderate. The studied core samples show a few fractures which mostly are filled by calcite. | ||
