| Abstract | ||
| Objective: The aim of the present paper is to review the theoretical underpinning, including background and some of the hypotheses adopted from philosophy and sociology of science, as they pertain to the emerging field of Knowledge Domain Visualization. Methodology: Text analysis was employed to derive the necessary content. Findings: Review of literature demonstrated that as an emerging field, knowledge domain visualization had undergone positive development over the past two decades and has built good capacity towards presenting a clear and multi-dimensional view of the science structure. | ||
