
An Investigation of the Role of Work Ethics in Job Satisfaction in Physical Education Teachers | ||

Abstract | ||
The aim of this study was to investigate the role of work ethics in job satisfaction of PE teachers of Tehran cities. The research method was descriptive correlation conducted as a field. The statistical sample consisted of 244 PE teachers of Tehran cities. Data were collected by two questionnaires: Minnesota Job Satisfaction and Work Ethics and their validity and reliability were approved. For data analysis, the SPSS 18 software was used for descriptive statistics and LISREL software was used for confirmatory factor analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that the effect coefficient of work ethics on job satisfaction was 0.46. Among work ethics factors: ‘’ethical atmosphere’’ (effect coefficient=1.03, t=8.85), ‘’success resulting from ethical behavior’’ (effect coefficient=0.38, t=4.37), ’’support of top managers from ethical behavior’’ (effect coefficient=0.49, t=5.39), the effect of ethical atmosphere on job ethic was more than the other two factors. Also, among the items related to job satisfaction, ‘’suitable job conditions’’, ‘’superiors' respect for suggestions’’, ‘’salary and payment’’ and ‘’appropriate social status among colleagues’’ had the most factor loading. | ||
