| در مواجه با یک همه‌گیری جهانی، حیوانات اهلی و خانگی جزء آسیب‌پذیرترین گروه‌ها بوده‌اند که به مراقبت و حمایت انسان‌ها احتیاج دارند. در بحبوحه همه‌گیری بیماری کووید-19، جهان در ارتباط با حیوانات خانگی با سه معضل روبرو شد: (1) نگرانی از بابت مشترک بودن این بیماری بین انسان و حیوانات خانگی، (2) اثرات همه‌گیری بر رفتار حیوانات خانگی و صاحبان آن‌ها و (3) چگونگی انجام مراقبت‌های عاطفی و جسمی از حیوانات خانگی. در این مقالۀ مروری، سعی شده است با تشریح این معضلات، به شناسایی و ارائه راهکارهای حمایتی در جهت اطمینان از رفاه حیوانات خانگی پرداخته شود. بررسی پژوهش‌های انجام شده در این زمینه، حاکی از آن بود که سگ‌ها و گربه‌ها می‌توانند به ویروس آلوده شوند، امّا بعید است که علائم بالینی در آن‌ها ظاهر شود یا بتوانند سایر حیوانات یا انسان‌ها را آلوده کنند. البته تاکنون اطلاعات در این زمینه کامل نشده و تحقیقات گسترده‌تری مورد نیاز است. بنابراین پیشنهاد می‌شود تا زمان تکمیل اطلاعات، انسان‌ها با رعایت اقدامات پیشگیرانه، به کنترل شیوع بیماری و رفاه خود و حیوانات خانگی کمک کنند. | ||

| During a pandemic, domesticated animals and pets are among the most vulnerable groups and need human care and support. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world faced three problems related to pets: (1) Zoonotic concerns in caring for a pet, (2) The effects of the pandemic on the behavior of pets and their owners, and (3) How to take emotional and physical care of pets. In this review, we have tried to identify and provide supportive solutions to ensure the welfare of pets by addressing these problems. Studies in this area have shown that dogs and cats can be infected with the virus, but are unlikely to show clinical signs or to be able to infect other animals or humans. Of course, information in this area is not yet complete and more research is needed. Therefore, it is suggested that humans take precautionary measures to help control the spread of the disease and the well-being of themselves and their pets. | ||
