The University of Tehran Press (UTP) is a significant academic publishing house in Iran, established in 1957 as a department of the University of Tehran. The University of Tehran Press (UTP) was established in 1946 under the name “General Directorate of University of Tehran Publishing.” In 1948, the “University Printing House” was founded, and in 1949, the “University Publishing and Printing Institute” was formed through the merger of these two units. Today, given the prominent role of the university in advancing scientific and cultural development within society—particularly as the University of Tehran stands as a symbol of higher education in Iran—and considering the rapid advancements in science and publishing at an international level, alongside evolving domestic and regional needs, the University of Tehran Press (UTP) operates with the following objectives:
