چکیده
Sogdiana is one of the oldest eastern cities in ancient Iran, situated along the ancient trade routes of the world. Historical documents and evidence indicate that the city of Sogdiana and its inhabitants played a significant role in cultural and commercial exchanges between the East and the West, and vice versa. Due to its location on the famous international trade route (the Silk Road), this city has been a hub of activity for many years, serving as a tunnel for the transfer of cultural, historical, literary, artistic, religious, architectural, economic, commercial, and social exchanges between China and the West, and vice versa from the West to the East. In this context, the city of Sogdiana and the Sogdians played a significant role in this process. Historical Chinese documents and texts contain valuable information about Sogdiana and its people. Analyzing these historical records reveals that the city of Sogdiana and its inhabitants served as one of the major centers for the transmission of Western culture to the East. As observed, the Sogdians played a significant role in the development of the transmission of Iranian and Indian-Western culture by entering Chinese cities and establishing numerous settlements. The remnants of their presence in areas such as architecture, art, religion, structures and buildings, language, and customs highlight the prominent position and role of this ethnic group in China.
