| چغاگلان جایگاه ویژه‌ای در مطالعات مربوط به شروع کشاورزی و یکجانشینی در غرب آسیا دارد. کاوشهای مختصر قبلی توسط دانشگاه توبینگن آلمان در این محوطه طی سالهای 89-1388 خورشیدی نشان داده که در فاصله زمانی بین 9700 تا 7600 ق.م. مورد سکونت بوده و تلاشهای طولانی و آغازین در ارتباط با تولید غذا در آن صورت گرفته است. با این وجود، و علیرغم اهمیت آن در باستان‌شناسی، این کاوشها ادامه نیافت. بالاخره، یک هیأت ایرانی بعد از 13 سال مرحله جدیدی از کاوشها را، با هدف بررسی ماهیت تاب‌آوری بلندمدت و متعدد ساکنان کوهپایه‌های زاگرس در طی گذار به دوره نوسنگی، در چغاگلان شروع کرد. فصل اول این کاوشها در مهر و آبان 1402 انجام یافت که طی آن یک ترانشه با ابعاد 4×8 متر در بخش فوقانی تپه کاوش گردید. در نتیجه شواهد مربوط به 5 فاز استقراری بر اساس بقایای معماری شناسایی شد که البته این کاوش تاکنون تا عمق 285 سانتیمتری پیش رفته و هنوز به خاک بکر نرسیده است. این مقاله نتایج اولیه کاوشهای مذکور را ارائه نموده و اهمیت آنها را در بستر منطقه‌ای در زاگرس مرکزی و نیز در شرق هلال حاصخیز در راستای درک بهتر روند نوسنگی شدن مورد بررسی و بحث قرار می‌دهد. | ||

| Chogha Golan has previously found a spectacular place in studies of the emergence of early agriculture and sedentary life in western Asia. Earlier brief work by the University of Tübingen in 2009-2010 suggested that Chogha Golan was inhabited between ca. 9700-7600 BC and witnessed a long initial experimentation with food production. However, despite this significant archaeological position, the site was left without further fieldwork until a new stage of excavations was initiated in 2023, aimed at investigating the nature of the multiple long-term resilience of the inhabitants of the Zagros foothills over the course of the transition to the Neolithic. In this regard, the first season of the excavations was carried out in October-November 2023. Accordingly, an 8×4 m area was excavated at the top of the site. As a result, 5 occupational phases were distinguished based on architectural remains within 285 cm of residential sequence yet excavated. However, the virgin soil was not reached, leaving investigation of remaining underlying levels to the next season. This article presents the preliminary results of the 2023 excavations and then contextualizes their significance for a better understanding of the Neolithization process across the Zagros region and, in a broader geographical context, the eastern Fertile Crescent. | ||
