Abstract | ||
Corporeal substance is one of the issues discussed by the Philosophers. Different philosophical principles have influenced the attitude of each Philosopher toward the possibility of understanding, analysing, and describing the mentioned substance. The present article includes a precis of what Muslim Philosophers, particularly Sadra and Avicenna, have comprehensively written on corporeal substance. The importance of these issues is originated from the fact that many propositions pertaining to objects and su bstantial realities provide the minors of demonstrations in Philosophical issues, and their affirmation is due to undestanding the reality of substance. the present article deals with the attitudes of Muslim philosophers toward understanding of the nature, its position in human thought, definition of the body, and its components and existence. | ||
