چکیده [English] | ||
Generally speaking, architectural styles are inspired and often propelled by a nation’s cultural and utilitarian values. Studying a nation’s architecture serves to explore certain aspects of their desires, ceremonies, dispositions and attitudes. As such is the “external/inttnal” sectioning of old houses in our country signifying a closed culture much concerned with privacy. On the other hand, when nations are distanced from their traditions and become alienated from their values, their architecture suffers a qualitative decline. Such cultural emptiness clearly occurred during Rem Khan’s rule in Iran. In fact, during the latter part of the Qajar dynasty, this cultural depletion started and it heightened during the Pahlavi rein thereafter. During Mohammad Rem’s rule, this fruitlessness was at its peak and the architecture, despite its glittering appearance, lacked a national identity. In this article, we have endeavoured to discuss the architectural relation between content and its mold, particularly from an Islamic viewpoint. | ||
