چکیده [English]
This article deals with the issue of identity and the critical role it plays in a nation’s destiny. Identity, formed by elements such as language, history, religion and culture, creates certain outlooks and values for the individual and will distinguish him from the rest of the world and other groups or nations. One’s attachment to his past gives him as much impulse as his aspiration for the future. A sense of identity provides the individual with a psychological base upon which a connection is made between the individual and his self concept, self-image and sense of self-worth.
