A Study of Scapulohumeral Rhythm in Students with Kyphosis

چکیده
The aim of this study was to compare scapulohumeral rhythm between students with kyphosis and healthy students and between dominant and non-dominant hands in kyphosis students. 25 male healthy students and 25 male students of Arak University with kyphosis were selected by purposive sampling method. The angle of kyphosis and scapulohumeral rhythm were measured by spinal mouse and goniometry respectively. Independent t test was used to analyze the data (P<0.05).  The results showed a significant difference in motion of scapula, scapula rotation angle, range of humeral abduction and scapulohumeral rhythm between the two groups (P<0.05). No Significant difference was observed in scapulohumeral rhythm between dominant and non-dominant hands in students with kyphosis (P<0.05). The results showed that kyphosis can disturb scapulahumeral rhythm. In addition, kyphosis has the same effect on scapulahumeral rhythm in dominant and non-dominant hands. Therefore, it is recommended that students should correct kyphosis and strengthen shoulder girdle muscles based on corrective training protocols.

هدف از این تحقیق، مقایسۀ ریتم اسکاپولوهومرال دانشجویان مبتلا به گردپشتی با دانشجویان سالم و مقایسۀ ریتم اسکاپولوهومرال در دست غالب و غیرغالب دانشجویان مبتلا به گردپشتی است. 25 دانشجوی سالم و 25 دانشجوی مبتلا به گردپشتی از دانشجویان پسر دانشگاه اراک به روش هدفمند انتخاب شدند. برای ارزیابی زاویۀ گردپشتی و اندازه‌گیری ریتم اسکاپولوهومرال به‌ترتیب از دستگاه اسپاینال موس و گونیامتر استفاده شد. تجزیه‌وتحلیل آماری با استفاده از آزمون t مستقل و در سطح معناداری 05/0 انجام گرفت. نتایج تحقیق نشان داد که اختلاف معناداری در لحظۀ شروع حرکت کتف، زاویۀ چرخش کتف، میزان درجۀ دور شدن بازو و همچنین نسبت ریتم اسکاپولوهومرال در دانشجویان مبتلا به گردپشتی و دانشجویان سالم وجود دارد ( 05/0P<). اختلاف معناداری بین ریتم اسکاپولوهومرال دست غالب و غیرغالب دانشجویان مبتلا به گردپشتی وجود نداشت ( 05/0P<). نتایج نشان داد که گردپشتی می‌تواند موجب بر هم خوردن ریتم اسکاپولوهومرال شود. همچنین گردپشتی به یک اندازه بر ریتم اسکاپولوهومرال در دست غالب و غیرغالب دانشجویان اثر دارد. بنابراین توصیه می‌شود دانشجویان ضمن حفظ ملاحظات اصلاحی درمانی در راستای درمان عارضۀ کایفوز و تقویت عضلات کمربند شانه‌ای براساس تمرینات پروتکل‌های اصلاحی اقدام کنند.
