| مقالۀ حاضر ارائۀ توصیف و تحلیلی است از الهیات تنزیهی افلوطین. او در این روش تلاش می‌کند شناختی عقلی دربارۀ خدا هرچند به نحو سلبی به‌دست آورد. سلب در این الهیات نه به‌معنای سلب محض و نه به‌معنای فقدان، بلکه سلب مبتنی بر تنزیه است که به تنزیه و پالایش یک مفهوم یا جوهر برای رسیدن به معنای حقیقی و دقیق آن می‌پردازد. بنابراین روش سلبی در الهیات سلبی افلوطین که همان روش تنزیه عقلی است، رها و حذف کردن کیفیات اضافی از احد برای دستیابی عقلی به وحدت محض و بساطت صرف اوست. وی در توصیف روش سلب به «اسناد و توصیف احد به آنچه نیست نه به آنچه هست» تأکید می‌کند و می‌توان از جنبۀ عقلی برای روش سلبی دو موضوع در نظر گرفت: یکی سلب انتقادی همۀ اظهارات مثبتی که انسان می‌تواند در مورد خدا طرح کند و دیگری سلب انتقادی از سلب‌های ما که هیچ‌گاه خاتمه نمی‌یابد. اما آنچه از طریق این روش سلبی دستگیر انسان می‌شود، شناخت عقلی نه از خود خدا، بلکه دربارۀ او (فیوضات) است. ما نمی‌توانیم هیچ شناخت عقلی از ذات او به‌دست آوریم و از این‌رو نمی‌توانیم هیچ از او سخن بگوییم. | ||

| The article presents an explanation and analysis of Plotinus’ abstraction theology. In his theology he tries to get some knowledge of God, however negative. “Negative” here means neither pure negation, nor privation but it is rather based on abstraction, which purifies and abstracts a concept to the extent of gaining precise and real meaning. Accordingly, this method of theolog is rather rational abstraction which deletes the additional qualities of the One in order to arrive rationally to the pure unity of the One. In this manner, based on Plotinus’ viewpoint, we say what the One is not, and not what it is. Speculatively speaking, two subjects could be regarded for the abstraction theology: first, the critical negation of all the positive affirmations of God. And second, the critical negation of our negations that never cease. In this theology, we have no knowledge or conception of the One; we only know about that, which comes from it. Then, we do not speak of the One, but we speak about it. | ||
