چکیده | ||
امروزه تکنولوژی جنبههای مختلف زندگی ما را تحت تأثیر قرار داده است و تعلیم و تربیت هم از این قاعده مستثنی نیست. در همین راستا، انتظار میرود دبیران زبان انگلیسی در دبیرستانهای ایران نیز تکنولوژی آموزشی را در برنامة تدریسشان ادغام نمایند. عوامل بیشماری در استفاده از تکنولوژی در کلاسها مؤثّر هستند که ویژگیهای جمعیّتی (دموگرافیک) دبیران یکی از آنهاست. به همین دلیل، تحقیقی انجام گرفت تا تأثیر ویژگیهای جمعیّتی دبیران زبان انگلیسی بر نگرش آنها نسبت به استفاده از تکنولوژی در کلاسهایشان را بررسی کند. در این پژوهش، 195 نفر از دبیران زبان انگلیسی کلاسهای هفتم تا دوازدهم دبیرستانهای تبریز پرسشنامهای 30 آیتمی از نوع لیکرت را که نسخۀ اصلاحشدۀ پرسشنامۀ آلبیرنی (2006) بود، پُرکردند. نتایج نشان داد که الف) دیدگاه دبیران زن زبان انگلیسی نسبت به تکنولوژی بهطور معناداری مثبتتر از دبیران مرد است، ب) دیدگاه دبیران که در سنّ بازنشستگی بودند، بهطور معناداری مثبتتر از دیگر دبیران باسابقه بود، ج) دبیران زبان کلاسهای دوره متوسطۀ اول دیدگاه مثبتتری نسبت به تکنولوژی در مقایسه با دبیران زبان کلاسهای دوره متوسطۀ دوم داشتند، و د) ویژگیهای دموگرافیک دبیران زبان انگلیسی تبریز (شامل مقطع تدریس، جنسیّت، سابقه تدریس و مدرک تحصیلی) 26 درصد واریانس موجود در دیدگاه آنها نسبت به کاربرد تکنولوژی در کلاسهایشان را توضیح میدهد. در مقاله، به رهاوردهای آموزشی این تحقیق نیز پرداخته شده است. | ||

Numerous factors play a role in technology integration by teachers, and teachers’ demographics are one of these factors. Hence, a research was conducted to compare Tabriz high school English teachers’ attitudes toward integrating technology in the classroom based on their demographics . 195 high school EFL teachers from Tabriz, Iran answered 30 Likert-type questions comprising the modified and adapted version of an already available questionnaire developed by Albirini(2006). The results showed that (a) female high school EFL teachers’ attitudes toward technology are significantly more positive than their male counterparts, (b) retirement-age high school EFL teachers’ attitudes toward technology are significantly more positive than their mature counterparts, (c) junior high school EFL teachers enjoy more positive attitudes toward technology in comparison to their senior colleagues, and (d) Iranian high school EFL teachers’ demographic characteristics (grade level taught, gender, teaching experience, and academic degree) explain virtually 26% of the variance / variation in their attitudes toward integrating technology into their classrooms. The implications are discussed in the paper. | ||
