چکیده | ||
The rapid development of biotechnology and its presence in the various spheres of human social life is bringing a many new issues every day to different fields of science. On the other hand, the main mission of religion is to meet new needs. The use of stem cells in research and treatment has been the start of countless ethical and legal debates, raising many questions for Muslim scholars: when and where is the beginning of human life? Does human life begin with the combination of sexual cells and fertilization? Does the single-celled creature have the potential to be considered as an equal and in a homogenous status of a human being? The purpose of this research is to discover the different aspects of life and how it started from the viewpoints of the Holy Qur’an and the Infallible Imams’ narratives, using interdisciplinary studies supported by Sharī’ah and Islamic jurisprudence (i.e. Ja'farī jurisprudence). The views of scholars will be expressed in this regard, as well. | ||
