Abstract | ||
Water is one of the most essential human needs. Evaporation is one of the climatic phenomena in water loss of lakes and open reservoirs. In addition to this, the global climate changes have also become the cause and the rate of evaporation has been increasing in the last few decades; So that this phenomenon can sometimes reduce more than 40% of the volume of water stored in the dam lake. Methods of reducing evaporation are different according to regional conditions, economic justification and environmental issues. In this research, some physical, chemical and biological methods of controlling evaporation from the water surface have been introduced, because better management of water stored in water tanks is achieved by reducing evaporation losses from the free surface of water. | ||
