| Abstract | ||
| By using the geographic information system, it is possible to process and analyze different maps to achieve a specific goal. In this training, an attempt is made to solve a problem or project by using the available data, as well as the tools and functions provided by the Idrisi software, in order to obtain the required output maps. One of the applications of geographic information system is to determine the optimal route between two phenomena. Imagine, as the manager of an industrial unit, you have to build a road from the main road to your factory, but due to environmental issues, you are not allowed to build a road near lakes, or there are lands along this route that are not owned by you and whose owners do not have permission to build a road. They don't give it within the boundaries of their lands. The geographic information system comes to your aid here and suggests the most optimal route according to your limitations. In this tutorial, we are trying to learn more about this attractive feature and also explain how to do it. | ||
