چکیده | ||
پژوهش حاضر، که دادههای مورد نیاز آن با استفاده از یک روش پژوهش ترکیبی اکتشافی متوالی و از طریق یک گروه کانونی و یک پرسشنامه بستهپاسخ محققساخته گردآوری شد، به دو منظور انجام گرفت: الف) ارزیابی میزان کارآیی برنامه درسی کارشناسی رشته مترجمی انگلیسی در تربیت مترجمان حرفهای از نقطهنظر دانشجویان و دانشآموختگان این رشته؛ و ب) آگاهی از پیشنهادات پژوهیدگان مذکور برای رفع کاستیهایی که شناسایی میکنند. یافتههای این پژوهش حاکی از آن است که برنامه درسی فعلی از حیث تربیت مترجمان حرفهای در حوزههای مختلف چندان موفق نبوده است. از جمله پیشنهادات پژوهیدگان برای رفع کاستیهای برنامه فعلی و افزایش کارآیی آن، میتوان به افزودن واحدهای درسی تخصصی و متناسب با بازار روز خدمات زبانی، تقسیم رشته فعلی به دو رشته مجزای ترجمه مکتوب و ترجمه شفاهی، و گرایشبندی رشته مجزای ترجمه مکتوب اشاره کرد. انتظار میرود یافتههای پژوهش به عنوان مبنایی برای اصلاح برنامههای درسی، تخصیص منابع، بهبود تجربه یادگیری دانشجویان، و نهایتاً ارتقاء مهارتهای آنها همگام با نیازهای بازار پویای خدمات زبانی مورد استفاده قرار گیرند. | ||

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum of B.A. English Translation program from the students and graduates’ points of view and to seek said surveyees’ suggestions on how to improve the curriculum. To this end, the required data was collected using a sequential exploratory mixed-method design comprising of a focus group and closed-ended questionnaire. The findings indicated that the curriculum was far from successful in training professional translators and interpreters. The suggestions provided by the surveyees for improving the curriculum included adding specialized courses based on market demands, dividing the current program into two autonomous and separate translation and interpreting programs, and dividing the would-be translation program into several concentrations. The findings of this study are expected to be reviewed by all stakeholder groups and used as the basis for program revisions, resource allocations, and ultimately the improvement of the learning experience of students and their qualifications and skills in line with the requirements of the rapidly-changing job market. | ||
